In-game Movies
If this has been addressed, I apologize, I looked for it, to no avail.
Many times, when I am running a mission with human help, everyone wants to skip the cutscene/FMV/in-game movie. I usually go ahead and skip it too, because I don't wanna be that noob who makes everyone wait, you know... Is there anywhere I can look at the in-game movies? Whether it's in-game or out, I don't care. Thanks in advance for advice here, Shane |

Ignore those who tell you to skip the movies. its YOUR game and you got the right to watch them. If they are not happy with this, they can always go cry to their mama or come here to rant about it.

I don't know but honestly don't feel obliged to skip just because someone says to. I mean they can't tell who does/doesn't skip. With the one exception bieng if you pay for someone to do the mission for you then do what the runner asks because it could be for a good reason not just because (s)he doesn't wana watch it. Example: When I run Elona Reach I ask them to skip because I don't want sf to drop having to make me wait for health to recharge to complete mission.
Hope that helps but honestly don't skip them if you want to watch them. I didn't skip any my first time through and some I like so much I still don't skip. My first two guesses to look would be gw main site and youtube. |

It seems to me that you can watch some of them again in the scrying pool somehow - lemme check.....
Edit - oh yeah, that's just for EotN cutscenes. I would agree with the others - just watch the cutscenes and ignore those that complain about it. And remember, some people who select "skip" are only saying that they don't need to see it again, but not necessarily that they mind seeing it again. Other than that, you'll have to do the mission again to see them. Last edited by Quaker; Sep 09, 2008 at 09:03 PM // 21:03.. |

Play through the game on another character to catch those you missed, and never miss one you don't want to. PUGs don't have any authority to tell you how to play the game.

I'm not sure if it still does, but I know that the scene at the end of Viz Square used to be the bane of Survivor attempts due to the forced death in there. If it is the case then I'd check if there are any survivors in your party for that mission before deciding to watch.
Otherwise, as others have said, if you want to skip, then skip. If you want to watch, then watch. Also Factions cutscenes for entering a new mission outpost can be re-viewed at one of the NPCs at that outpost (but not in-mission scenes) EotN cutscenes can be re-viewed at the Scrying Pool Not sure about NF or Prophecies |

Yeah, I'm sure every sensible person here agrees that you should just watch it. They are only a few minutes long at most, the rest take mere seconds and anyone without the patience to sit through it shouldn't be PUGing.

You might make some people mad if you don't skip the cut-scenes. Screw 'em. You've got every right to watch them and if you don't, you won't have a clue about what's going on in the story-line or why you're doing what you're doing as the story progresses.

It used to be that minions died and if you happened to be taking a beating when the cutscene started you could, too. That's long since been fixed. Sit back and enjoy the story.

Yup, just don't skip them if you have never seen them. When i get people who don't skip i kinda like it , i reminds me of the story and the starting days . A main part of the fun of the game is the storyline, you don't have leave out the story that got me hooked on GW. And don't mind the morons that start to nag "why didn't you skip?", they are just noobs that don't appreciate the game and forget that they once too started play watching the cutsceens.
Also once you start getting good at the game mission aren't that hard anymore and you can later easily do them again (if you're going of protector title). |

Just watch the movies. If you want to know the storyline of the game, you'll need to.
Ignore others. They may be playing the mission for the xth time or don't even know who Prince Rurik is. |

If you absolutely don't want to watch them, don't risk it with a PUG. It's as simple as that. |

Okay, so I gather the following:
- watch the movies if I feel like it, for the ones I have NOT already completed. - check in the Scrying Pool for the EotN ones I may have missed. - check youtube for the others. Lotsa help, all. Thanks for your posts. Can close now, mods. I think this one has run its course. Shane |
